Integrative Oncology

Integrative oncology coordinates the delivery of evidence-based complementary therapies with conventional cancer care. The Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO) produced an evidence-based guideline on use of integrative therapies during and after breast cancer treatment. This work has been endorsed by the American Society of Clinical Oncology past June 2018. Thus, Evidence-based in the field of integrative oncology has been increased. There are some grade A recommendations confirming the essential role of integrative Oncology in cancer care management. Since June 2018, ASCO recognized "integrative oncology" as part of cancer care and opened new perspectives in France.

Results show promise for mindfulness-based interventions to treat common psychological problems such as anxiety, stress, and depression in cancer survivors and to improve overall quality of life.
